Oh, Wolf Week. How I hate thee.

Because my friend Jennilynne is, like, a saint, I now have an XBox 360.

My gamertag is Calophi. I'll let people know if Todd ever makes one.

Currently I own Bioshock and Dynasty Warriors 5, and Fable and Forza Motor Sports. I got DW:5 because WillItWork likes that series and it was fun to play, and Forza because my brother wanted it and it was only $4, and Fable because it was cheaper than Fable 2 and I haven't played it yet.

So, uh, gimmie your gamertag so's I can add you.

I'm pretty proud of my finished fox ears. I'm thinking about writing up a pattern for them. What do you think? Would you wear these? :)

I...lord help me, but I have an idea for a Vincent/Yuffie sexpollen fanfic. T_T It won't go away. I might have to write it. I am blaming this entirely on mklutz because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have even known that there was a sexpollen cliché at all! Damnit, and I don't think I know anyone who even reads that pairing to make it worth writing. Damn!

I finally got sick of trying to brush through my hair and got it cut last Wednesday. I've donated the ponytail to Locks of Love. My hair is still super curly, but I had it flat ironed for the wedding I went to on Friday. :)

Alright. I've been busy with work and life, so I've sort of stopped reading Livejournal and Fanfiction. I'm super far behind so if I've missed anything important please let me know! I already feel bad that I've worried salomesensei.

I am still frequently on Facebook, so if anyone has that they should pop me a link to their profile so I can add them and keep up a bit better.

Some of you already know that for the past few nights one of my neighbors has let an alarm go off for about an hour between 5:30 and 6:30 AM. Todd and I were already not sleeping and this alarm wasn't helping. It wasn't someone just setting the sleep button and getting up a few minutes later - this was a continuous annoying beeping sound. FOR AN ENTIRE HOUR.

We looked around the bedroom groggily the first night before realizing it wasn't coming from our room. After the second time, I went to the next door neighbor's place to see if it was them. But it's their kitchen next to our bedroom, and it wasn't them.

Sadly, that left the annoying and slightly terrifying upstairs neighbors, because we never hear anything from downstairs ever.

It happened again last night so I called up the landlord today to deal with it, and we will see what happens. Meanwhile, my friend Jim on Facebook left me this comment to one of my disgruntled status messages:

Don't you just love people who don't think about anyone else? I had a neighbor in an apartment complex who thought everybody wanted to hear his TV - loud and all day long. Management wouldn't do anything, the police wouldn't do anything - both because it was during the day.

Normally I don't do this kind of thing, but I burned a CD with nothing on it but Flight of the Valkyries playing over and over, set it to play loudly on repeat, and left the windows and sliding glass door open (3rd floor apartment). When I came home roughly three hours later the offending neighbor's windows and door were miraculously closed and we never heard his TV again. Another neighbor told me it was painful, but worth it.

I'm not recommending this, as it can escalate things, but it worked for me.

HAHAHA, that made my day.

Rock Band 2 on the Wii is so much more badassly awesome than the first game. OH MY GOD. I had no idea what I was missing with all the Tour stuff and character making! I've made a snapshot of my character here:

I had a great holiday. Here's a quick summary of my "haul" this year, including what I got from gift cards.

And a few other little things, too. I got Todd Veronica Mars season 1, and he got the other 2 seasons at Target with one of his gift cards. I LOVE this show, and I'm so glad he asked me for it and watched it at me. Any other fans? =D

On New Years Eve I had a little dinner-party type thing. Guests included Efrain, Sam, Josh, Eric, Natalia, Michelle, and Nelson. It was a great time. There was a wee bit of Mario Kart playing but mostly the group got along well enough that conversation was enough to entertain us all.

Todd made his awesome meatballs and I made ziti in the crock pot. We still had tons of cookies from the cookie exchange, and I made dirty pretzels that came out fabulous. I also made Irish Coffee later on that was super good, and everyone who came contributed something to the nummies. =D

Todd and I were up until probably 4:30 or 5, and Michelle and Nelson stayed the night. We went to a diner for breakfast, but the service was terrible and we were there forever so we didn't leave the waitress a tip. I hate doing that, but she didn't even pass by the table and say, "Sorry for the wait." We barely saw her at all, and when we did it wasn't like she looked flustered or harried from working hard. Sorry hon, I know it sucks to work around the holidays but you could at least make an effort.

Tomorrow Todd and I are going to New York to spend time with his family. I managed to finish Jeff's hat and the two gifts for his kids, and then I realized, Oh crap, how bad will it look if I don't make something for Carrie? XD So I made a beret for her even though she didn't ask me for anything, and I hope she likes it alright.

In general I normally don't gift for Todd's family and vice versa, but I had paid for a part of Lenny's gift because his life is sucking. The gifts for Jeff and his family were very cheap money wise (since I had the yarn for the toys already and the hat yarn was like $5) and only a bit labor-intensive so they don't count, and I wrote that drabble for Greg. I'd have made him something too, but he's like Todd and hates my art. ^_~

Another one down! I'll continue to work on these through the New Year, since these are Holiday drabbles and that's part of the holidays. Yeah yeah, it's a poor excuse, I know, but you'll understand once I get a picture up of what I'm working on for my dad.
